Davy Jones Liveaboard is a traditionally built Phinisi Sailing Boat constructed using locally sourced iron, wood, red teak and mahogany.
The Cahaya Bersama meaning ‘light for everyone’ started life as a cargo vessel has now been reborn into a liveaboard diving vessel. The ship will be approximately 30m long and 6.5m wide. The boats sails will be Indonesia 7 sail rig.
She will accommodate up to 9 guests in 4 private cabins. There are 2 upper cabins with queen size beds, 1 lower cabin with queen sized bed and 1 cabin with 3 bunk beds. All rooms have air-conditioning, mains electrics and low-voltage led lighting. All cabins have en-suite bathroom facilities with flushing marine toilets, sinks and hot showers.
The boat will be crewed by 5 people including a western cruise director, local sailors, divemaster and captain. There is a large open area on the vessel to eat and socialise with a bar and galley serving both Indonesian meals and western food. The boat is fitted with generators and battery investors to enable a silent boat when moored overnight. There is also a water maker providing ample fresh water for all guests.
A large 5 metre rhib tender to ensure ease and safety during diving. Diving trips are provisionally planned to sail between Pulau Moyo to Komodo National Park via Labuan Bajo taking approx 4 days where you can enjoy 4-5 dives per day exploring the rich underwater world Indonesia has to offer.
